Duracorr 300 is a specially designed 12% chromium, dual phase stainless steel. It is ideally suited for environments where there is a combination of abrasion and either: chemical, salt or corrosive attack; high heat; or high oxidation. Due to its low coefficient of sliding friction, it is also ideally suited for hoppers and chutes where there is bridging or sticking due to fines, moisture, or low angle exits bottoms. Duracorr offers roughly 10x the general corrosion resistance of a non-stainless weathering or hardened steel, while offering abrasion resistance comparable to AR400. It also performs well in mild chloride (salt) environments, outlasting aluminum by 2X and weathering steel by 12X.
